Handmade Yooperlite Bracelet: 6mm yooperlite beads strung on strong elastic cord. Size: Medium (7-1/4″).
Yooperlites were discovered in 2017 by Erik Rintamaki, who gave them their regional northern Michigan name (the upper peninsula is referred to as the “UP”). They’re made up of mostly syenite rock, which means they look like any other gray rock, but there’s a twist. Yooperlites are rich with fluorescent sodalite, which glows a vibrant orange or yellow under ultraviolet light.
