The gemstone Iolite is the transparent form of the metamorphic silicate mineral Cordierite. Strong trichroism causes this gem to look alternately dark blue-violet to violet, lighter blue to colorless when looked at from different directions.

Hand knotting is a very time consuming process but the end result is unmatched. Intentionally placed knots are secured by hand for longevity and aesthetics. The high-quality gemstones provide a substantial weight and beautiful drape that looks and feels luxurious. Sterling silver findings and lobster clasp finish off this beautiful necklace.
