Agate is a semi-precious gemstone that belongs to the Chalcedony family and can be distinguished only by its color and stripes. The word ‘agate’ is derived from a Greek word which means ‘happy’. Agate is available in a wide range of colors; Indian Agate beads feature shades from rich forest green to a deep red, with mostly opaque transparency.

Metaphysically, because of the harmonizing colors of Indian Agate, it is thought to be an excellent stone for helping to heal and improve relationships. Indian Agate is excellent for balancing emotional and intellectual energy, and in harmonizing the positive and negative forces of the universe.
